Lilly Pulitzer was born in New York. She moved to Palm Beach, Florida when she married her husband. While in Florida, the “Lilly” or shift dress was born. She also known for creating a new genre of fashion, the American Resort Wear. Pulitzer passed away on April 7, 2013.
