The Met Gala, short for Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, is one of the most fashionable nights of the year.
The event, which marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit, took place this past Monday, May 4th, 2015 in New York City, NY.
Each year the gala, also known as the Met Ball, raises funds for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
This time around, the theme of the night was “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Celebrities took it to heart and showed up with looks that celebrated the theme. Some decided to embrace the color red, flower motifs and Asian details. The result? Some looked elegant and breathless while others stayed true to its eccentricities and were the worst dressed of the night. Take a look below!
