How to Recreate 5 Looks from Mad Men That You Can Still Wear Today

Picture from blog.sfgate.com

The end of an era has come and Mad Men is gone. There is no doubt the AMC series did a phenomenal job recreating both the sets and wardrobes of the 50s all the way to the late 70s. We saw characters evolve from high waisted skirts and blouses, to bold colors and plaid and then to mini skirts and go go dresses with boots.

I have to say, my favorite clothing pieces are from the 1950s period. I love feminine silhouettes, full skirts, sheath dresses, cigarette pants and playing dress up with hair and makeup. If you are a fan like me, here are 5 looks you can recreate today. Mix the main pieces listed below with modern accesories, so you don't look dated.

Sheath Dress and Pen Necklace A la Joan – you can wear any pendant necklace of your choice.
